Seeing anything at all related to 'The Beach' in Syracuse in December is pretty rare. This year, however, the Long Beach State 49ers will visit upstate New York to take on the Orange in the Carrier Dome. The game is scheduled for December 6th at a time TBA.
Dan Monson is entering his 6th season as the head coach at LBSU, and if you follow the Big West Conference at all, you'll know that he's done a hell of a job thus far. His 49ers won the conference last year, posting a 24-9 record. Casper Ware graduated and took his 17.4ppg to A.S. Junior Pallacanestro Casale in Italy, but that didn't stop Monson from compiling a brutally tough schedule. In addition to this early-December clash with the Orange, they'll play UNC, Arizona, UCLA, and Ohio State. Woah.
It's likely that Boeheim and the staff have a few more games up their sleeve that have yet to be announced. The schedule is very soft at the current moment, so hopefully a game against a national powerhouse is added (or maybe a true road game, if those even exist for us).
Here's where we stand with the SU basketball schedule. Arrange your travel schedules accordingly.
