Defensive End Ebenezer Ogundeko has been one of the most discussed prospects among Syracuse football fans. The top rated player in New York for the 2013 class, he cut his to three weeks ago. Those three were Florida, Syracuse, and Notre Dame. His decision is set for July 23rd, he says.
However, he recently received offers from Mississippi and Florida State. When asked if they changed his top three, he said, "Yes it does. It's Florida, Syracuse, ND, and Ole Miss." His top three has become a top four.
So why the sudden interest in Mississippi? Ogundeko explains, "They are a great school and it's an opportunity to play early in the SEC." When asked if that meant he was promised playing time, he said, "Yeah but every school does that." Dylan Butler of MSG Varsity tweeter out that Ogundeko will be visiting both Ole Miss and Syracuse in July.
The recruitment of Ogundeko continues to be eventful. Marrone is hoping to snag the top New York prospect for the first time in his tenure. We will continue to bring you latest on Ogundeko's recruitment as it develops.
