Brandon Reese, The Professional Basketball Player

Brandon Reese is now a professional basketball player. Yes, you read that correctly. The 5'11" guard signed a contract earlier today to join Maccabi Hod Hosharon, a professional team in Israel.

Terms of the deal haven't been disclosed, but Reese, a walk-on turned scholarship athlete at SU, is now living his life-long dream.

Although he didn't see the floor very often, Reese became a fan-favorite during his four years at Syracuse. He only scored a total of 29 points during his career at SU, but his seemingly endless motor led to some steals, assists, and exciting plays late in games.

Because foreign leagues put a quota on the number of American-born players that can be on a teams' roster, Reese has said that he will attempt to apply for dual-citizenship. If granted, that will definitely help him in his pursuit of a long career overseas.

Not many people saw this coming, but I think it's pretty darn cool. He's an extremely hard-worker that did his best to make himself, and his teammates better at all times. Well-deserved, Brandon!
