Quincy Wilson is a 6'2" defensive back from University School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida in the 2014 class. Recently, Wilson added Syracuse to his already growing list of offers. Wilson says Auburn, Clemson, LSU, Michigan State, Florida, Ohio State, West Virginia, Purdue, Duke, Indiana, Illinois, and Maryland are among those who've also offered.
Even with all of those offers from big name programs, Wilson says he is still wide open and Syracuse is a school he is considering. "I was excited and would like to know more about them," he said when asked about his reaction to his Syracuse offer. "Yes of course I'll learn more about them. Hopefully I'll take a visit and see how I like it." Wilson says coach Henderson is recruiting him. Henderson told Wilson he's heard a lot of great things about him and plans to stay in contact with the Florida prospect.
Wilson says he is a big corner who can run. He says he runs a 4.52 40 time currently. He describes himself further, "I have good jamming skills and can hit if a player comes my way. My weaknesses are probably my hips and footwork. Since I'm big people are going to want to see if I can move like a regular size cornerback."
While he is no rush to make a decision, Wilson says his relationship with coaches, playing time, and academics will be the biggest factors in where he decides to go to school.
